Re: WorldFlight 2013
I missed the last of the flight due to work. But it was fun and in some ways a learning experience. Like the tips on flaps set at landing.

Re: WorldFlight 2013
Worldflight2013 is now over, the aircraft has been delivered to Adelaide and the covers have been placed on till next year.
Later I will post photos (and maybe a video or 2) and a summary of the event.. (we wont tell all the stories.. some you just need to be there for!)
'NBL1' did the airline proud completing the epic journey with only a couple of minor glitches along the way..
and was even invited to join QF25 (Qantas World Flight 744 Sim - located in Sydney & WF HQ) in a formation flight UNDER the Sydney Harbour Bridge to complete the event.
The event lasted only a week but the memories will last a lifetime!..
Team Noble will be back in 2014, not only as a sim joining in the event, but as a 'Tier 1' participant of World Flight.
Information will be posted soon.
Thankyou to everyone concerned, all the participants that travelled locally, interstate and abroad to take part, and all the viewers of NobleTV during our epic journey.
I also sent a thankyou to Terry Scanlan (WF Organiser) on behalf of 'NBL1'.
Some stats of the event..
Total Flying Time.. 120.6hrs
Crew.. 7 (and a bit!)
Coffee Pods.. 96
Ham.. 2.4kg
Jarlsburg Cheese.. 5pkts
Times kicked of vatsim (intentionally).. 1
Crash Landings.. 3
Power Cuts.. 2
Extension Leads to keep sim running during power cuts.. 3
Times pilots nodded off in cockpit.. 2
fastest crew change and turnaround time (landing to takeoff).. 7mins
see you in 2014.
"NBL1.. shut down and parked at the gate!"..

Thanks to Ed and the rest of the crew of NBL1!! I enjoyed watching, I even watched a few times when I should have been in bed.

At the dinner after World Flight a great cake supplied by Ed and Geoff in a talkative mood being overlooked by Ray.

Re: WorldFlight 2013
I just want to say thank you to Ed and Adriana for being such great hosts.
Ed your stats for nodding off should read 7 coz that is how many times you nodded off with me in the cockpit
Oh and something you forgot was the total number of cans of coke etc that were drunk.
I should have taken the cake with us on the plane cos I did not even get a meal on the flight back to Auckland. I cannot believe that Air NZ charge extra for you to have meals and watch movies in yet Qantas charged the same fare and I got meals and free movies. Guess I will be flying both ways with Qantas next year.
Don't forget to park the aircraft in the hangar and I will check out the tail and right hand wing cos I am sure Roger clipped the bridge on the way under and the wing on the runway landing at Sydney.
